Remarks & Notes
EL 860 and 859 race an eastbound trailer train into Kent, Ohio. This was the only time I saw back-to-back ALCO PA's pulling a train, and what a surprise it was. Notice how the sweep of the tracks and the paint jobs on the PA's suggest a permanence and future that was not to be. In the background is the parallel B&O mainline curving towards us. The going away shot has already appeared in RailPictures just a few weeks ago.
