| The BNSF 6819 helper crew tags along riding behind the DPU of a westbound grain train, grinding its way to the summit of Marias Pass. The constant blustery winds of Marias are very evident here as the downsloping winds from the big mountains of Glacier National Park create an interesting effect as the clouds swirl back up to the heavens. West of the Marias summit, the Pass all the way to nearly Whitefish is socked in with stormy snow laden cloud cover. |
