Remarks & Notes
An appreciable amount of snow, sun, and trains can be a tricky combination in the semi-arid regions of eastern Washington. This spotless blue sky January finds a Chicago bound stack train rounding the Trinidad climb with the unique BN 7812 on the point. Supposedly the only SD40-2 painted in the BN GP50 scheme, it was the beneficiary of a unique mid-merger rebuild contract at Tacoma, WA's CEECO facility. It was, apparently, one of the last locomotives painted in Cascade Green. Scanned From Transparency: Kodak KM 25
