Remarks & Notes |
The American built 141R class locomotives were not the first Mikes built in the USA for use in France. In 1918-19 ALCo built 150 with 1.65m driving wheels (5ft 5in - same as the 141R) for the Paris Orleans Railway Nos 5811 to 5960. They became P.O-Midi Railway Nos 141.811 to 960 in 1934 and then SNCF type 141B in 1937. The last one is believed to have been taken out of traffic in 1961. Scanned from a glass negative by an unknown photographer. |
