| A 74 car unit export coal train sits tied down in track 7 in the Seward yard at the south end of the Alaska Railroad system. The train arrived the previous evening and will be unloaded in just a couple hours after this photo was taken. The structure to the left is the dump building where the coal is unloaded by employees of Aurora Energy Services. It was cold and windy, but virtually snowless on this Alaskan day. Note: the photographer is a railroad employee and was wearing all required PPE while taking this photograph. |
