Remarks & Notes
A dream estate for a die hard railfan? Probably not. Union Pacific's LJL41 local backs down the Northwest Pipe Company spur in the sleepy Utah County town of Pleasant Grove. The crew is setting out 10 loads of coil steel along the last section of Salt Lake & Utah Railroad interurban trackage in existence. The loads will be used to construct steel pipe on the Murdock canal replacement project near Thanksgiving Point in Lehi. Incidently, the UP 689 began life as the Missouri Pacific 2189 in February 1980.
