Remarks & Notes |
GWR 5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' thunders through Claydon with the 1Z55 'The First Moor Street Express' 0824 Birmingham Moor Street - Paddington.
On Saturday 11th December 2010 Chiltern Railways reopened the Terminal platforms at Birmingham Moor Street Station almost 25 years after they were last used by trains. As part of the celebrations, Vintage Trains were invited to operate the first train out of the station to London Paddington thus recreating the Birmingham to London express trains of the 1950’s using the Vintage Trains coaches hauled by a GWR Castle Class locomotive.
