Remarks & Notes |
Already in bandit paint 2033 leads fully repainted GP40 4612 on train 210 passing Sparta. This train was hot on the heels of train 200 and the engineer had been trying to get the Dispatcher to let him around 200 since River Jct. The pass was finally made east of Tunnel City after this job had run on yellow blocks east from La Crosse. I was in Tomah and heard the two trains talking and the engineer on 2033 mentioned how it was "such an effort to expedite a movement". One of the funnier conversations in my travels. |
