Remarks & Notes
Looking more like an alien planet than a lonely railroad branch, the lower end of Union Pacific’s Cane Creek Subdivision near Moab offers a spectacular combination of slickrock, steel rails and an arch. Two Southern Pacific AC4400s, 172 and 118, lead today’s charge up Bootlegger Canyon. Three rock climbers enjoy the view from the top of Corona Arch. Scanned from Fujichrome.
