| "Uhhhh, dispatcher... the switches aren't cleared." Well, actually they were cleared a couple hours before. The crew arrived to find the switches completely drifted over. The crew was talking to the dispatcher reporting there was over two feet of new snow with drifts the size of their engines. The crew was able to get their train this far in the yard, but that was it. The dispatcher put the line out of service until the section could figure out some way to clear it out. The answer... three front end loaders and lots of plowing. |
