First it was Conrail and NOW Whistle Stop Cafe'...No More: Once a small Mom & Pop Restaurant located at the corner of 6th & Greene Streets, Whistle Stop Cafe' was always busting out giant servings of breakfast items to hungry locals and city workers. NS 191 is seen passing the now closed and vacant Whistle Stop Cafe' while cruising down the middle of 6th Street on its way into Norfolk Southern's Augusta Yard. The one chance I had to actually eat at WSC was shot down, considering that they only accepted cash, and me only having plastic walked out in disappointment. Thankfully, the unique window painted logo still remains providing for an different, and well incorperated themed shot, and like Conrail, the Whistle Stop Cafe' has become a thing of the past...
