| The marker is still in place on the tail end of Grand Elk Train 302. Journal parts were found on the right of way about 50 yards in front of the Nine car derailment in Three Rivers, Michigan today. The 302's tail end had just cleared the Prairie River Bridge at the Sauganash Golf Club just off of Lutz road in Three Rivers when disaster struck. Eight of the cars are on their side and one is off the track but remained up-right. The apparent culprit is a bad journal on one of the cars. |
