| Every year during the annual Nevada Northern winter photo shoot, the steam locomotives take the spotlight. But what about the diesels? Where else will you find an operable RS-2 and RS-3 running on the same railroad that they worked in regular service? To me, the diesels are just as interesting as the steam locomotives (I love the Kennecott orange paint). Here's RS-2 109 rolling through the NNRy tunnel in Robinson Canyon on February 4, 2011. It often smokes more than the steam locomotives! |
