One thing I never get sick of working for the railroad is watching the sunsets and sunrises as you make your trip over the territories. Here a crew heading towards Boone watching the last rays of sunlight poke thru the encroaching clouds about 30 miles east of Cedar Rapids.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
