BN's Pacific Northwest power was pretty much a group of just about anything that wouldn't be useful in coal service toward the end of the 70's. This shot of GP30 2222 and GP35 2524 struggling east with the 138 cars of train 80 really sets the tone for the area. Alco C415, C424, C425, C636 along with EMD GP9, GP30, GP35, GP38-2, GP40's were the primary power with the odd appearances of SD45 and F45 models. GE's normally worked the coal fields along with SD40-2's and 4 axle GE's were more common to the Mid-West.
