Westbound Z-train from Willow Springs, IL, to North Bay, CA, blast thru the small town of Medill as they make their way across northern Missouri. Medill is located at MP 263.0, 30 miles west of Ft Madison, IA, the 1st crew change point west of Chicago. The old Santa Fe Cantilever signals still stand tall at crossover locations on the Marceline Sub, but many intermediate signal bridges have been replaced with new signals, sign of the times.
