Captured just before sunrise, BNSF Railway's Stockton-Denver trackage rights Q-train heads east along Union Pacific's Provo Subdivision at Geneva. A little bit of history for you...the power switch and industrial track at right once lead to Geneva Steel of Utah, at one time one of Utah County's biggest employers. The mill shut down in 2001 and was slowly dismantled in it's entirety. Gondolas of scrap left the mill site to be recycled at mini-mills. By late in 2010, the CTC controlled switch and searchlight signal were removed during an upgrade, leaving nothing to indicate this was one of the D&RGW's biggest shippers and receivers of rail traffic.
