Soo Line seemed to be perpetually short of power through the 60's and 70's. Leasers tended to show up every fall and winter and normally would hang around until spring. Most of the time it was GN or NP F's, DM&IR SD9's, or LS&I U23C or U25C's. Sometimes even that wasn't enough and things could get really wild. The odd GB&W Alco or EL F's come to mind. The 70's were about over when I shot this wild lash-up on a very dark and wet November afternoon. Soo never had a lot of luck with their own GE products, so this was quite a surprise. CR 6819,6548 along with Soo 2556 have a short 911 heading to Gladstone.
