Remarks & Notes |
WC obtained trackage rights into Green Bay over the GB&W from former Soo trackage at Black Creek. This allowed WC to quit using the Ex Milw. Road line into Green Bay as it was in rough shape and would have required lots of work. About the only restrictions I ever heard about on these trackage rights trains were that GB&W did not want 6 axle power on their lines. This did present WC with a bit of a problem as they had won coal contracts to a power plant in Green Bay. Sights like this with three GP40's pulling coal trains then became common on the last lap into Green Bay. |
