| MA&N #805 burbles in a tone that only an Alco can produce as it dashes through the heavy lake effect snow bands that are typical of Oneida Co., New York in winter. The unit is on its way to Lyons Falls, where it shall pick up four cars from Burrows Paper. The former British Columbia Ry. "lightning stripe" scheme really makes this locomotive stand out in the snow. Note the orange flag flying from the coupler of the boxcar. Scanned from Fujichrome Provia 100F. |
