Some would call it luck, but I'd call it a small miracle. This eastbound local crossing the Mississippi on the Sabula Swing Bridge stopped at such a perfectly photogenic spot, with the cab side numbers as well as the noses of both locomotives visible, and the headlights of the lead engine dramatically illuminating parts of the bridge. It stopped to wait for approval to cross the BNSF diamond in Savanna, IL. I was able to take several exposures - this one was 30 seconds. The lighting of the locomotives and the west half of the bridge was provided by the high beams of my Chevy pickup.
