| When railfans come from far away to shoot the NSM railroad this is the shot they all want to leave with. Taken from the appropriately named "Railfan Rock" high above the NSM mainline. Three SD40-3's break the otherwise sillence of the northern Minnesota wilderness pulling the empties back to the mine. Lake Superior is on the horizon and the white plume of exhaust is from the massive taconite plant that sits on the shore of the big lake. |
