Remarks & Notes
This should probably fit into the "strange, but true" category. Northbound Auto Train AT-4 was crossing the South Anna River near Taylorsville, VA on April 29, 1981 behind RF&P SW1500 No. 91, L&N GP40-2 No. 6611, RF&P GP35 No. 136 and Amtrak E8A No. 417. By this time, things had gotten really bad at Auto Train. Most, if not all of their units were out of service and they were relying on power supplied by RF&P, SCL and Amtrak. Amtrak supplied a few E8As that were pulled from the dead line and only one of the two prime movers in the units actually ran. There were just two days left for the operation and RF&P SW1500 No. 91 was being sent to Lorton to switch the train and also to switch cars after the shutdown. It was a sad time for all.

Do you ever get the feeling as a model railroader, that you just might be creating something not "prototypical?" Same here.
