After suffering a bearing failure south of Marysville, UP 844 was inspected and limited to 30 miles per hour for the remainder of the trip into Kansas City. The 844, bound for Little Rock, Arkansas, arrived over 3 hours late into KC Union Station as a result. Although the engine wasn't as exciting at 30 mph, it made for an easy chase!
