St. Lawrence and Hudson, a subsidiary made by CP Rail System primarily for operations on the St Lawrence valley region and Hamilton Subdivision, back in the 80's-90's, was amalgamated back into CP in the late 90's when the subsidization was no longer needed. Many units were painted in the STLH scheme including SD40's, SD40-2's, GP38-2's, and GP9's. Only a handful of the units on CP's roster are still carrying the St. Lawrence heritage.
