While some folks are not fond of these locomotives, they do have character and provide something unique for rail photographers to find. My girlfriend, who was with me when I shot this, agrees with me that this is a stylish locomotive. The SD60E class leader rests with a Union Pacific D9-40C (leased, not pictured here) after pulling 12M into town. This unit would then be trailing power for 11M the following day. On the left is the ex-Erie yard tower, which is now used by NS for changing crews. As of the date this photo was taken, all three SD60E's have now visited Meadville.
