Remarks & Notes
It's nearly 9pm and the last dying rays of evening sun impart blood red tones to the exhaust of ever-reliable 'Black 5' No.45407 as she thunders up the grade through the suburbs of Leeds heading for York. She could be heard a good five minutes before she could be seen, this delightful aural treat continued for another five by which time she was in open countryside. 'The Waverley' was returning from Carlisle and was spot on schedule. Another minute and the photograph would have been impossible.

Nocturnal Nuances: Sunset To Sunrise & All Through The Night!

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
