In early Conrail days, Elizabethport was the "Mingo Junction" of RS3s. In this picture of the east end of Elizabethport yard are no less than 8 RS3s (in addition to two SD35s), and that cut of cars to the right of the photograph is being switched by...an RS3. This is almost an all CNJ scene, but former Lehigh Valley RS3 #219 can be seen at a distance. In this timeframe, former Lehigh Valley RS2s 214 and 218 could also be found at Elizabethport.
