| Just 4 days after the 47th anniversary of the JFK assassination, TRE train 2939 passes over the famed triple underpass. Visitors embracing history stroll along the grassy knoll below the peristyles. The building to the right is the 1892 Dallas County Courthouse, known as "Old Red". The building at left is the 1913 Dallas County Criminal Courts building. The Dallas County Jail used to be on the upper floors of this structure. It is this building that Lee Harvey Oswald was going to be taken to, of course Jack Ruby would end up there instead. |
