CCAIM9 18 was in the process of pulling off Cotton Belt 4 track when it stopped and a carman pulled up to attend to something on the train. This pause afforded enough time for this Farmers Insurance zeppelin to pass overhead. I also had to hope for no clouds. About thirty seconds later, this scene was shadowed by a puffy cloud floating by. Many variables came together in perfect harmony. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, that is what railfanning is all about. If Railpictures.net had another website for those times we lose, I'd have thousands of shots uploaded. The zep is about to land a few hundred feet away at adjacent St. Louis Downtown Airport. It is in town 8/16 to 8/28 giving rides.
Not
just heritage schemes, not just commemorative schemes - this album is devoted to some of the world's most interesting paint schemes, past or present.
