Well here it is, my namesake, Extra 127 South. Actually, the train is No. 227, but RF&P operated all freight trains as extras, so in reality it was operating as Extra 127 South. No. 227 was a hot Potomac Yard-Atlanta TOFC train that usually rated two units. On this day, from looking at the power consist and the train trailing off into the distance, No. 227 was extremely heavy.
