Cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 3/4 4 of Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke (DFB) is pulling train 128 from Oberwald to Realp over Furka pass and is crossing the Rotten bridge in a grade of 11.0 %, entering Gletsch spiral tunnel in short time. The locomotive was built by SLM in 1913 for the Brig-Furka-Disentis Railway (BFD) and run for the Furka-Oberalp Bahn (FO) till 1972. Operational again since 2006 for the DFB (loaned from MGB) and owned by DFB since last year. The cars are B 4222 (built in 1890 as C 42 by SIG Neuhausen for the Visp-Zermatt Bahn and operational for DFB since 2007), B 2206 and 2210 (both built in 1914 as C 206 / C 210 for the Brig-Furka-Disentis BFD and operational for DFB since august 2011) and combined passenger/baggage BD 2502, built in 1914 as C 202 for Brig-Furka-Disentis, operational for DFB since 2006. |
