Remarks & Notes
The annual fall foliage dome car addition to the Amtrak Adirondack train was complimented this year by its arrival in the Phase III paint. Amtrak also assigned the Phase III P42DC 145 to the Adirondack service to be mated with the dome car runs. On September 27, the Amtrak Adirondack train 68 is arriving in Whitehall, NY on its way south to Albany. Many more photos at http://steelwheelsphotography.com.

The Adirondack follows both the Hudson and the Lake Champlain shoreline on its leisurely trip between New York and Montreal. When it started, it was pulled by beautiful ALCO PAs purchased by Delaware & Hudson second-hand from the Santa Fe.
