Originally built (in December 1973) for the Reading Company (as their 2622), GMTX SW1001 97 now works at a grain elevator in Fort Worth, Texas. When Reading became a part of Conrail in 1976, the 2622 was renumbered to CR 9422. When Conrail was split between NS and CSX, this engine became part of Norfolk Southern's roster (numbered PRR 2111). NS later sold it to BDLX (2111), who then sold it to General Motors Locomotive Group (GMTX). Photographed on private property with permission.
