A northbound empty hopper train works its way across the famous Clinchfield RR "Copper Creek Viaduct" during the last of the afternoon light on this Fall afternoon. This particular angle wont be nose lit until the summer months but shooting in this particular lighting helped bring out the depth and texture I was looking for.
Landscape photography is difficult due to the challenge of combining good light and good scenery. Good railroad photography enters another level of complexity since it requires the first two while there is a train in view.
