I have spent alot of time shooting this distant signal west of Nora Springs. I have seen quite a change in ownership since I started taken photo of it in the late 90's. It has been IMRL, IC&E, DM&E, and soon to be CP, ownership with a vast variety of power. I never thought I'd see quite a site as today's 1st revenue Iowa Northern train for the Garner Sub. The Iowa Northern will use trackage rights over the DM&E between Nora Springs and Garner to access the new line IANR has taken over from the Union Pacific. Here 2 of the newer IANR motors, along with a 38, power this westbound out of Nora.
