Remarks & Notes |
Two Conrail C30-7s, led by CR 6627 lead a southbound empty ballast train on former Reading rails south of Bound Brook, New Jersey in May, 1995. The ballast cars are former cement hopper cars. These C-boats were from last 16 cylinder batch ordered by Conrail. The second order of C30-7 were dubbed C30-7A and had 12 cylinder prim movers. This latter batch ended up as the “House Band Units” for the Boston and Albany Line. |
