LUMBER! This commodity is the reason for the Southern Pacific's Siskiyou Branch existence after the Natron Cutoff through Klamath Falls was completed in the early 1900's. Seen here between assignments, a trio of SD9E Cadillacs sit idle waiting for another crew to spot empty boxes & flats for loading by the huge Roseburg Forest Products mill in Dillard. |
