On Easter Sunday in 1969, rebuilt DR class 01 Pacific No 01 528 climbs from Bebra towards Honebach Tunnel and the DDR border with train D217, the 09.00 Frankfurt Main to Berlin Ost Bhf. Note the SNCF carriage next to the loco, a through working from Paris Est to Warsaw.
