Engineer Rance Grieder, aboard Illinois Central GP38-2 9621, builds air while performing switching moves with a single unit Peoria Local, as his conductor walks to line a switch. The under-powered local was operating on Thanksgiving Eve, 23 November, 2011. The train is a daily road local that works between the IC Grand Avenue Yard in Decatur, Illinois and the Tazewell & Peoria Railway yards in East Peoria. STEVE SMEDLEY PHOTO
