Preserved 86101 has just negotiated the tight curve off the Edinburgh line and is accelerating south on the WCML past the site of Strawfrank Water Troughs, with the return Edinburgh-Watford Junction 'West Coast Premier II' railtour. This train in its 'rail blue and grey' livery represents British Rail's corporate image of the 70s and 80s, now swept away by the UK's privatised rail system. Sadly 'Cargo D', the operators of this magnificent set of coaches, have recently ceased trading, and the coaches are being sold.
