BN 9907 and 9908 making a run for the suburbs with a Dinkey so called because they were once small compared to the CB&Q's intercity trains. This Dinkey will make very few stops between Chicago and Aurora trying to get people home fast. Both these E9As started life as CB&Q E8As and ended up in MARC (Maryland Transit Administration) service. (See comment below.)
Several Chicago railroads, including Burlington, Chicago & Northwestern, Illinois Central, Milwaukee Road and Rock Island, provided extensive service to and from the Chicago suburbs.
