The first 10 units of Transnet Freight Rail's newest diesel locomotives, the Class 43 GE C30-Aci, were built in the USA (see photo ID 349791). The remaining 90 units are being built by Transnet Rail Engineering (TRE) at their Koedoespoort works in Pretoria, where three of the new loco's are seen awaiting finishing touches - 43-014, 43-018 and 43-019.
