Remarks & Notes |
GTW country? Hardly. It's not often that the 'Coastal uses 3 units east of Wilson, and it's even rarer that they will match - if you can call these old bandits matching. So when the westbound Wilson to Chocowinity turn passed my apartment with this set on a day off, I grabbed the camera and headed out. The overpowered train was actually hard to catch until reaching the slow order through Farmville. Here we see it leaving town with just one car for the home base of Wilson after taking 30 loads down to Choco in the morning. The 'Coastal has 5 such ex-GTW Geeps based in Wilson with one in CN paint. It's been fun to watch the line grow exponentially while living trackside the past few years in Greenville. Here's to wishing this can-do shortline a prosperous 2012! |
