Remarks & Notes |
The last winter for the Burney line was tough. The snow just kept getting deeper. This is April and the snow should be almost gone. The snow in this part of the world tends to have a high water content and is referred to as "Sierra cement", and is a far cry from the light powdery stuff in say the Midwest. Two SD-38's are required to push the Jordon spreader when it gets deep, and the going is really slow. This is probably the last time the Burney line was plowed prior to abandonment a few months later.
