New Haven 32 leads two other RDC-1's on commuter train 721. This is the second of four afternoon trains on the 28 mile run, Boston to Franklin, Mass. Running late, the first of those outbound trains is across the platform, returning from Franklin headed to Boston as train #720, lead by RDC-1. At this point double track ends and CTC begins. Even with CTC, the station master/operator had to hand throw the switch to line up inbound trains.
