An eastbound Georgia Railroad "Super Mixed" train eases through a super elevated curve east of Clarkston, GA in 1977. Today's locomotive consist is all SCL power, with a GP40 leading three former SAL SDP35s. These unique mixed trains lasted until May 6, 1983. The passenger equipment on this day was a Budd coach at the end of the train, just ahead of the caboose. SCL 1552 was 10 years old at the time, having been constructed as SAL 637 in 1967 just prior to the SCL merger.
