For those who do not know, I live around the Port of Los Angeles area. A lot of the trains out of the LA area come from the harbor bound for Chicago and other stations. I traveled 486 miles to see the same trains I would see in about a 15 minutes drive from my house...But you do these long drives to get the scenery of the area. Here, a Long Beach, CA to Chicago, IL stack train climbs out of the dip of Darling as it heads down the Arizona Divide into Winslow with the San Francisco Peaks in the background.
