Five years ago GE narrow cabs were a lot easier to find! Westbound empty auto racks pass the remnants of a light snow and the short stump of what once started the branch to, yes, Georgetown. The few feet of track now serves as a set-out siding for the occasional disabled freight car; the rest of the branch RoW, continuing behind the photographers back for eleven miles, serves as the Capital Crescent Trail, a popular exercise and bicycle commuting venue. (Well, immediately behind me is dense underbrush, but most of the branch has now been converted to trail.) The bridge is an upside down turntable; can anyone tell me from where it was taken?
