When CSX took over operation of a section of the former Rock Island between Blue Island and Henry, they used all sorts of geeps, and - once in a Blue Moon - U-boats. After sufficient numbers of GP15s arrived, they displaced everything else, becoming the dominant locomotive model on the line for several years.
